Are you a carrier or a broker?

A direct carrier. We own 25 power units and employ 25 CDL drivers. The company you hire is the company that hauls your car — no middleman, no resold loads. That matters for price too: a broker quotes you a number and then looks for a carrier willing to take less, and if nobody does, your price goes up or your car sits. The number we give you is the number for the truck that actually shows up.

Mixed, and we would rather show you than spin it. Across 89 roadside inspections in the last 24 months our driver out-of-service rate is 7.8%, against a national figure of about 13.7%. Our vehicle out-of-service rate is 21.7%, which sits around the national average rather than better than it. The crash record shows zero fatalities and zero injuries, with one tow-away crash. How many vehicles fit on an open carrier?

Our Cottrell auto-transport trailers carry 9–10 vehicles at a time. That efficiency is why open transport is the best-value way to ship a car, whether it is one vehicle or a dealer load.

Do you offer door-to-door delivery?

Yes. We get as close to both addresses as a full-size hauler can safely operate. Where a street cannot take the truck, your driver arranges a nearby meeting point with you.

Where are you based, and where do you run?

Our terminal is at 7630 Industry Ave in Pico Rivera, California, just southeast of Los Angeles. We run interstate lanes across all 48 contiguous states. Alaska, Hawaii and international lanes are outside our operating area.

How much does it cost to ship a car?

There is no honest flat rate for auto transport, so we do not publish one. Six things set the number: distance, and whether the route is a lane trucks already run; vehicle size and weight, since a large SUV or dually takes space that would otherwise carry another car; running condition, because a non-running vehicle needs different handling and equipment on the trailer; timing, since a flexible pickup window prices differently from a fixed date or an expedited slot; the season; and how many vehicles are moving, because several vehicles on one load share the cost of the truck. Send those details through the quote form and you get a real number from the company that hauls it, usually the same day, with no obligation.
